
APPLICABILITY & COMMUNICATION: SMOKING POLICY
- The policy shall be applied and communicated to all employees, all contractor employees, all contractors, contract manpower, visitors and shall be made available during orientation.
- The company shall ensure to provide designated smoking areas.
ACCOUNTABILITY, SMOKING POLICY
- Accountability for the implementation of the policy lies with all first line supervisors.
- All are responsible to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others.
- All are responsible to know the requirement for the smoking control policy and collaborate with the management in creating a smoking-free healthy work environment.
- It is the responsibility of the employees to ensure that visitors and guests must follow the smoking control policy.
PROSCRIPTION: SMOKING
- Smoking is prohibited in all offices, plant sites, company owned and contractor vehicles.
- No one may smoke along any pathway or walkway leading to or from the designation smoking area.
- Smoking shall allow in defined area with the smoking sign and mentioned in layout.
- Individuals, who is breaching the policy will be supported with a counselling and education process. If an individual continues in breaching these rules, may be subjected to disciplinary action.
PROVISION: SMOKING AREA
- Smoking shall allow only in designated areas only.
- Receptacles shall be provided at the designated places for the disposal of cigarette buds and other waste smoking materials.
- Smoking warning signage shall display at all smoking areas.
- The sale of tobacco products is not allow inside company premises.
TRAINING FOR SMOKING POLICY
- Conduct educational sessions once every year to create awareness on the risks associated with tobacco use, passive smoking, and the options for curing addiction.

SMOKING AT WORKPLACE, LAW
Smoking is not allow in any workplace, building or on public vehicle.
FINE AND PENALTY BY REGULATORY AUTHORITY
